Mint Chocolate Milkshake

So yesterday I mentioned that growing up in the Philippines,
we only ate avocado as a snack/dessert usually with condensed milk
or as a shake with sugar, water & ice.

So today,
I decided to make a shake with avocado
but with a different twist.

Who says eating healthy can be oh so boring?

Mint Chocolate Milkshake

by Deliciously Ella

Ingredients:
a handful of mint (I cut mine from my plant!)
1/2 avocado - there you go!
1 banana
1 cup almond milk (you can use any milk you wish,
almond milk is my personal preference as I'm staying away from dairy as much as I can)
3 Medjool dates (or skip this)
2 tsps raw cacao powder

Directions:
Mix all ingredients in the blender
and blend until smooth.

*Medjool dates become your natural sweetener
but if you can't find it
you can just skip it.
It still tastes good without it.
Overtime as you get used to fruit & vegetable smoothies,
you will realize that your taste buds
and sense of smell
will be heightened!
Meaning,
you will taste the natural sugar of the fruits alone.
Fruits & vegetables by themselves will become sweet
especially when they are fresh/homegrown/organic.

*If you don't have mint and raw cacao powder,
don't panic!
You can still have an avocado & banana milkshake!
It is yummy & good for you.

Enjoy!

Love from your Healthy Girl,
